Thanks for the heads up regarding Google’s free audience measurement aid, AdPlanner. I was aware of paid services offered by entities such as Nielsen, however it appears that I missed the announcement when adPlanner was released in 2008.

I tried AdPlanner for the first time after reading about it on the Agent Blog. It was very user friendly, with very clear instructions. I was able to create a media plan [target for online ads] after doing research based upon a combination of audience measurement numbers, search engine data and information from third parties.

AdPlanner does appear to be mainly aimed at smaller sites to use as an adjunct to Google’s AdSense service. But even if you do not purchase any ads from the AdSense network it is still a useful tool because it enables you determine your target audience demographics.

Jeanette,
I agree with your comment. It is a great complimentary free tool to do a research for Google Content/AdSense Network but also a very useful service even just to identify your target market by defining the keywords and websites that you think are relevant to your marketing message.
