Google is doing a great job by offering many free tools for advertisers like you to improve your efficiency which will grow the pie. Avinash taps into an interesting point which is concentrating on Long Tail of keywords. The long tail consists of many more keywords with less traffic. It means, less competition and less cost per click. In SEM, there are two very important tasks; 1. finding relevant keywords and hence customers via search engines 2. sending them to a relevant landing page with the same scent of the message on the keyword.
You can apply the tool on your website, or on ours or on your competitors to find the most relevant keywords. There are some limitations on the output if you apply it to a domain name that is not related to your adwords accounts, but hey, still you can get many keyword ideas.
With all the keywords, you then need to identify all the most relevant landing pages to send the traffic to. By the way, SbKT is taken care of that for your own domain as well. Today 90% of the time spent on SEM is on finding keyword, however, finding the relevant landing page is as important as the keyword itself.
