Campaign Tracker basically does that, match your signups based on your campaigns and hits from each channels so that you can determine which campaign is working better for you. Many affiliates today run multiple campaigns to bring traffic to Tel3 websites, including emails, direct mails, display/banner advertising, or search engines, and without this kind of tools, it is almost impossible to understand which campaign is more profitable for you.
Even you use your website just to attract organic traffic; still it brings tremendous value because with Campaign Tracker you can associate all your signups to each of your landing pages which is another opportunity for you to see how your optimization works!
So, what is Campaign Tracker and how does it work?
The Campaign Tracker enables you to see how many unique visitors you have for a specific campaign and the conversion. Basically, it tracks all the hits that are coming from a certain channel (either email/direct or a web page) and associates all the signups with each hit. It is done seamlessly; all you have to do is to copy and paste the URL that our system generates for your campaign and use it on your landing page.
How to Create a Campaign?
On your back-office, you can find the Campaign Tracker section. To start using the Campaign Tracker simply add the name of the campaign in the Campaign Name Box and select what type of campaign you are creating (Agent or customer). If you are interested in recruiting agents for your agent down-line then select Agent as campaign type, and if you are interested in customer recruitment select customer for the campaign type.
Once you click the add button you will see the new campaign added to the list below
In order to properly track your campaigns you will need to get the Tracking Code and copy that code into your banner add. So, next step is to click “Get Tracking Code” button.
You will land on to another page. This is where it gets more exciting. You need to select the target page (e.g. Sign up Page on Tel3Advantage.com domain) where your campaign will lead to. The system will generate the URL for you and all you have to do is to use that URL in all your links either on your banner, or on your Google ad or on your email body. So you will know from Campaign Tracker, how many people clicked on your ad, and eventually how many signed up.
Tel3Advantage offers many (more than 100 landing pages) for you to start a specific campaign, either based on country of interest, or based on the cell phones models and many more.
How to Review your Campaign Reports?
Campaign reports are placed in the Run Reports section in your agent back office and consists of two reports called Campaign Conversion Summary and Campaign Traffic Summary reports.
Campaign Conversion Summary details the number of hits and sign up numbers for your specific campaigns. You can simply select a date from the drop down menu to see your campaign results. This report will list all your campaigns received hits between the dates you specified.
Campaign Traffic Summary details the unique visitor traffic from a particular campaign. You can select a specific campaign to view the page access to your campaign as well as the number of hits and sign ups
Direct Mailing or Email Campaigns
How does the Direct/Email tracking work? If there is no referrer web page for the campaign, the system will recognize it as Direct/Email. So, you can simply put your customized URL on your Call to Action button on your email and track all the signups with Campaign Tracker.
Display/SEM Campaigns
For display and search engine marketing, you will see which website brought you the traffic. You might have multiple banners on different Content Networks, and with this you can differentiate which referrer website is bringing you the most juice for your money.
Lastly, how about the Direct Mailing Campaigns?
It is simple. For direct mailing, the best practice is to use unique domain names and forward them to your specific URL. Let’s say you want to target polish community in Chicago. You need to search domain providers (like godaddy.com) to find a relevant URL name that people will remember. Maybe “CallPoland.com”? You can prepare a direct mailing campaign and create a postcard with this URL which you can easily forward it (on your domain provider's back-office) to your (long but customized) URL; so you will exactly know, how many people came from this Campaign and how many converted!
